ShelterCare has an exciting opportunity for an Entry-Level Property Manager position. We are looking for someone who wants to learn and grow with us. This position you will learn and then manage all landlord/tenant responsibilities for assigned ShelterCare properties. Positive attitude towards residents and ShelterCare employees is a must.

The ideal candidate will have current experience of Microsoft Suites, office management, and time management and be professional in working with others. They will also have excellent written and verbal communication, a high level of computer skills, and the ability to learn new software quickly. Should also have demonstrated skills of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Daily tasks may include, but are not limited to:

+ Perform daily property inspections to ensure visual appeal of property and maintain hazard-free conditions.

+ Maintain an organized filing system for resident information.

+ Work together with the Maintenance Department, Accounting Department, and program staff as necessary to support the residents within your assigned properties.

+ Maintain wait list of eligible applicants and files of removed/rejected applicants.

+ Show apartments, accept applications, and screen applicants. Screening includes verifying and certifying an applicant's income, assets, and expenses to determine program eligibility.

+ Move in residents, completing all lease paperwork, and other paperwork required by HUD.

+ Ensure that the highest possible occupancy is maintained through continuous outreach efforts and advertisements as specified by the Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing Plan. Develop, plan, and implement resident retention strategies.

+ Respond to all resident complaints, working together with Clinical Support staff as necessary to resolve issues.

+ Monthly processing of HUD Housing Assistance Payments (HAP), and Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) reports.

+ Complete other duties as assigned.

Candidates must have a valid driver license, qualify to drive agency vehicles, and pass a DHS background check.This position is F/T, non-exempt from overtime, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. $15.00/hr. plus benefits.
